FOREST BATHING AT MOUNT TAMALPAIS STATE PARK
Forest bathing, a translation of the Japanese term shinrin-yoku, is the therapeutic practice of spending quality time in nature, breathing in the fresh air and engaging all your senses to enjoy the natural beauty around you. Our experience will include a 1-mile roundtrip walk on an ADA-accessible trail with both park staff and an experienced forest bathing guide.
Participants should wear shoes and clothing suitable for walking along an unpaved trail. They are also advised to have sun protection, water, snacks, and an extra layer (in case of chilly morning breezes).
The meeting/check-in point is by the restrooms at the Pantoll Campground and trailhead parking lot. The Pantoll Campground can be accessed by Marin Transit's Stagecoach Route 61 bus, as well as by personal vehicle.
