In this workshop you will learn: - What exactly happens to your body when you go into labor and how proper alignment of your pelvis can help a baby be delivered with fewer interventions. - Strategies to soften the body and mind in order to let go and help get labor started when the time comes. -How to strengthen the muscles that will assist in pushing the baby out. - Kundalini “keep up” exercises to help train your mind for the overwhelm and exhaustion you will experience during surges. - Mental strategies to take your focus away from the intensity of your surges. - Meditations that will shift your mindset from a place of scarcity to abundance. - How to set up your hospital room so it feels more intimate and personal. - Tips on how to nourish your body and some recipes to support you after the baby is born. - Connection with other pregnant mama’s. This event is facilitated by Ashley Stachon, Director of Metta Mama and a certified prenatal yoga instructor. Ashley began teaching in 2012, but found her true calling when she got pregnant with her daughter in 2016 and started teaching pre and postnatal yoga. Passionate about guiding women through the transformative process of pregnancy and becoming a parent, Ashley teaches a strong, alignment based practice where mamas can connect more deeply to their own body through movement, breath, and mindfulness practices. Ashley strives to empower her students by teaching them about the changes that take place in their body during pregnancy and after giving birth. Now a mother of two, she knows the importance of creating a community of strong women that can support each other and she is honored to do that work at Metta Mama, both as a teacher and as the Director.
