The 9th Annual SF Cheese Fest returns to the San Francisco Ferry Building Grand Hall on Saturday, September 21. The festival focuses on California producers, but this year will include cheesemakers from the West, including Washington and Utah. 19 artisan cheesemakers will showcase their acclaimed creations, serving over 75 varieties of cheese.
Guests will be able to taste dozens of the most exceptional and delicious cheeses being made today. The cheeses will be paired with preserves, chocolates and charcuterie along with local wine and beer. While sipping and sampling, guests will enjoy a gorgeous view of the San Francisco bay, live music by Brooke & Mike, and a bountiful grazing table sponsored by Oakland’s Ollie’s American Cheese + Provisions and Novato’s Gourmet Imports. This vibrant gastronomic event brings together cheese lovers, cheese professionals, and tastemakers to delight in the finest California has to offer. SF Cheese Fest is presented by the California Artisan Cheese Guild.
“SF Cheese Fest celebrates our diverse cheese community and the bonds between rural cheesemakers, urban cheesemongers and passionate consumers across the state,” says Sarah Simms, President of the California Artisan Cheese Guild and co-founder of Lady & Larder. “Guests will be able to taste over 75 different varieties of cheese and meet the makers and mongers. It’s going to be a wonderfully festive evening of community and cheese!”
The 2024 SF Cheese Fest is produced by the California Artisan Cheese Guild, a 501c6, and serves as its primary fundraiser. The mission of the California Artisan Cheese Guild is to celebrate the quality and diversity of artisan cheeses produced in California through partnerships, outreach and education.
