The Ruckus Revival: Party at the End of the World!
Apocalypse Wow! Come join us for a defiant riot and celebration of counterculture with the biggest renegade variety show in the Bay Area for our “Party at the End of the World”! We raise a toast with a molotov cocktail to the End Times with sword swallowers, tap-dancing burlesque, sizzling pole performers, rowdy raconteurs, hard hitting hip hop, twisted comedy and underground superstars all collide to light the night in the darkening of winter! Come see what the Huffington Post calls "one of the best underground performance art shows in America!"
The Ruckus Revival is packed with uncensored circus legends, jaw-dropping acrobatic feats, to hilarious dirty haiku bouts, beat-boxers, room shaking performance poets and audience-interactive mayhem in a fast paced night of unfiltered entertainment! Every show features an all new lineup, and both the freestyle rap battle and slam are open for anyone to sign up and compete for $400 in cash prizes, judged by the audience!
Ruckus is the winner of multiple "Best of the Bay" awards, and is called "consistently the most spectacular event that Oakland's ever seen" by the East Bay Express. The SF Chronicle calls Ruckus "a dazzling, inspiring and celebratory display of talent" and "a tent revival for misfits and freaks, those whose artistry or spectatorship has a homespun bent and a bandit streak."
Featuring an arachnoid pole performance by Ezra the Spider, sword swallowing by The Beautiful Jewels, Aerial trapeze by Marisa Gregory, the Queen of the Jungle lioness burlesque star Bo Vixxen, the juggling phenomena Bri Crabtree, dark comedy by Jade Theriault, world slam champion Mighty Mike Mcgee, tap-dancing burlesque by Tapper Dan and many more TBA!
