Vocalpalooza
The CMC Voice Department presents Vocalpalooza, a day of voice and singing-related activities that bring together all types of\ vocalists in performance, education, and choral community—students and faculty alike!
SCHEDULE
12:30–2:30pm CHORAL SUMMIT
CMC choirs and vocal ensembles in concert: CMC Children’s Chorus/Intergenerational Choir, New Voices Bay Area TIGQ Chorus, Coro de Cámara, and more.
3–5pm VOCAL WORKSHOPS
Explore diverse facets of the voice, from anatomy to harmony to style, led by CMC voice faculty. Space in some workshops is limited, advanced registration is recommended.
• 3–3:30pm: From Toes to Nose: The Anatomy of the Voice with Ellen Shea.
• 3–4pm: Broadway, Pop, and Jazz Choral Harmonies with Ellen Robinson.
• 3:30–5pm: Feel Your Voice – A Somatic Experience with Clare Hedin and Nicole Lumetta.
• 4–5pm: What is this Thing Called Jazz? A Vocal Ensemble with Clif Payne.
5:30-7pm Voice Department Recital : A Celebration of Renewal. A collaborative concert capturing the spirit of spring, rebirth, growth, and the beauty of nature featuring faculty and student vocalists.
