Martin Meyerson Berkeley Faculty Research Lecture: Michael Nylan


The second 2024 Martin Meyerson Berkeley Faculty Research Lectures, a 111-year-old campus tradition celebrating excellence in research at UC Berkeley, will take place Wednesday, May 1 with Michael Nylan. Michael Nylan Jane K. Sather Chair of History “The Utility of the Useless: Reflections on History Today” Wednesday, May 1 4:00–5:00 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public and will take place at Alumni House. Since 1912, the Academic Senate has selected faculty members who are exceptionally distinguished for their scholarly research to serve as the Faculty Research Lecturers. These public events provide a unique opportunity for the campus community to hear from the very people who are transforming knowledge at Berkeley and in our world.
