Mindful Working: Waking Up to Serve the World

Description This class will support developing strong concentration and balanced energy. As they deepen, we become more fully embodied, and awareness wakes up to time. Engaging more deeply with the world becomes an offering of our highest gifts and we begin to tap knowledge directly. Our expertise may begin to manifest in entirely new creative patterns that surprise even ourselves. As our wish to be of benefit strengthens, our hearts open to humanity as we seek to bring more light into the world. We begin to seriously consider how we can bring change to our own work and perhaps to the world, that is so desperately needed now. Each student will have the opportunity to share the insights they are experiencing and begin to intentionally apply them to their work, sharing their results with classmates. In the last class we will share special integration projects students develop over the six weeks helping to integrate practice with daily work life – each making their own unique offering to the world. Format Classes meet online for six weeks, for one hour a week. Classes are recorded and you will have access to the recordings for your personal use only. Each week, there will be a short lecture followed by experiential practices and discussion. Weekly handouts will provide inspirational readings and the instructions you need to continue your experiential learning at home. An online community portal gives you the ability to meet and dialog with your fellow students between classes.
