ART: Pairings and Echoes
ART: Pairings & Echoes (November 20th - January 7th) invites viewers to see how artists draw inspiration from past works, showing each artist’s original piece alongside the image that sparked its creation, and revealing the visual conversations that fuel creativity. Imagine a rolodex of images. A collective store of visual memories that resides in the mind, providing fertile material and seeding the ongoing ‘conversation’ that drives artists' inspiration. This conversation harkens back to what has been seen and recorded and then in the art making process, gets carried forward, imprinted with the artist’s stamp. Visual connections of shapes, forms, color, line, etc. speak to or reframe other newly created images. In this exhibition, ART: Pairings & Echoes, artists share a window into their creative process by showing us one instance of this connection.
