There’s something for everyone at the festival, including guided, informative hikes about the geology, trees, edible and medicinal plants, birds, lichen, and El Cerrito history. Family-friendly events include a nature scavenger hunt, crafting from nature, art in the trees, and the ever-popular insect hike. People of all ages can learn how to use apps to identify flora and fauna or enter a haiku contest and hear the winners recite their poetry on a haiku hike.
