We Are Present, Artists with Asian Roots Exhibition
America's cultural diversity is a treasure that enriches our world. This exhibition is a testament to that, focusing on artists with diverse Asian roots. What do they choose to reveal, express, and explore, and why? I've selected artwork from diverse media, from painting to photography to textiles and sculpture. The works touch upon Asian American history, significant places and people, Asian-influenced handicrafts, and essential political movements.
It has been a dream of mine to create opportunities to increase Asian Pacific American visibility on the Coastside through music, visual art, and spoken word. This first Coastside exhibition focuses on contemporary Asian artists.

The Venue - Curator Na Omi Shintani’s Kitsune Community Art Studio is in “The Old Barn.” For 15 years, the Kitsune studio has been the location for art workshops, book club meetings, gatherings, and the Na Omi’s creative space.
