In Past Perfect Present Tense, the artists bring together figures, symbols, and dreams drawn from different centuries and personal memories, placing them into a shared space—their canvas.
Many of the paintings began with fragments: a piece of antique lace, a gold leaf, a pattern from a forgotten textile, or a fleeting figure from a dream. Gradually, these elements grew into stories—about silence, about rituals, about the people carried through time.
They always paint together. They argue, they laugh, they change direction. Their process is layered, much like the work itself. With each brushstroke, they seek to dissolve the boundaries between past and present—so that what once was, and what now is, become one. These paintings are not rooted in nostalgia. They are about presence—about discovering beauty in the tension between what is remembered and what remains unknown.
