The play follows murderous barber Sweeney Todd, who seeks revenge against the corrupt Judge Turpin for wrongfully incarcerating him in order to steal Todd’s wife. Revered as one of the greatest musical scores of all time, Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, is a musical thriller that explores the depths of human despair, and examines themes including social justice, moral corruption, psychological obsession, and trauma cycles.
