Art Guild of Pacifica Annual Members Exhibitions
The Art Guild of Pacifica's Annual Members Exhibition is a celebration of creativity and local artistic talent. This open call for art brings forth the widest variety of works in a multitude of mediums, styles and themes. Just under 100 pieces were entered for this year's show, and are filling the West and East Galleries at Sanchez Art Center. This year's awards will be selected by Nancy Mizuno Elliott, City College of San Francisco art professor and curator for the City College Art Gallery.
The artists selected for the 64th Annual Awards Show — Francioise Kirkman (felted wool creatures and watercolor), Andrew Leone (portraiture in colorful acrylic) , Beverly Patterson (mixed media incorporating poetry and photography), and Dan Underhill (painted porcelain fixtures) — are concurrently exhibiting capsule collections of their art in the Main Gallery. These artists were selected last year by Paul Bridenbaugh, Skyline College art professor, who met with each artist to select their works for the Awards Exhibition. An artists and judge/curator talk will be held Sunday, Oct 29, beginning at 3:30 pm.
After the opening reception (Fri, Oct 20, 7 - 9 pm), the galleries are open Fri - Sat - Sun, 1 - 5 pm, through Nov 19.
