    08/11/2024 02:00 PM 08/11/2024 03:00 PM America/Boise Plein Air Coast: A Lecture on California Impressionism SAN DIEGO, CA (August 11, 2024) – Union Hall Gallery, a community arts space in Golden Hill, is proud to present the summer exhibition "In Pursuit of Light” in partnership with Santa Ysabel Art Gallery, featuring new works by plein air painter Lester Machado. In conjunction with this show, the gallery is hosting a lecture on California Impressionism presented by Leon Okun and Alex Schaefer. The lecture focuses on a journey to the time and place when a writer, and a painter, worked side by side “in the field”, be it at the labor camps of Salinas, or on the fishing docks of Monterey, recording stories of common folk that forever changed the world.
