The Scripps Women’s Health Update: Cardiovascular Disease, Menopause and Reproductive Health symposium provides clinicians with current, evidence-based strategies to address conditions that are unique to women or that present, progress, and respond to treatment differently in women than in men. The activity is designed to improve the recognition, prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular disease, menopause-related conditions, and reproductive health concerns. Through practical, patient-centered education, this symposium will help clinicians provide more equitable, comprehensive, and personalized care for women with cardiovascular, menopausal, and reproductive health concerns. Educational Objectives Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: • Identify sex-specific cardiovascular risk factors, clinical presentations, and disparities in care that influence the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular disease in women. • Apply evidence-based approaches to evaluate and manage common and under-recognized cardiovascular conditions in women, including arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, dyslipidemia, MINOCA, microvascular disease, spontaneous coronary artery dissection, and HFpEF. • Incorporate individualized cardiovascular prevention strategies, including risk assessment, coronary artery calcium scoring, obesity management, and appropriate use of GLP-1 therapies, into care for women across the lifespan. • Evaluate the physiologic, metabolic, cardiovascular, and quality-of-life effects of menopause and use current evidence to guide individualized menopause management, including menopausal hormone therapy when appropriate. • Develop multidisciplinary management plans for common menopause- and reproductive health–related concerns, including osteoporosis, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, migraines, pelvic floor disorders, vulvar conditions, and menopause in patients with endometriosis or uterine leiomyomata.
