MISSION VALLEY KICKS OFF ‘ONE WARM COAT’ DRIVE

Mission Valley, an open-air shopping center located in San Diego, California (https://www.mission-valley.com), invites the community to help local families stay warm this season by participating in the nationwide One Warm Coat “Share the Warmth” campaign, sponsored locally by Centennial, the firm that manages the center. The drive kicks off on October 21st, which is One Warm Coat’s official “Share the Warmth Day,” and continues through December 31st. Guests are encouraged to drop off new or gently worn coats at the donation kiosk located outside Footlocker and Tilly’s during regular business hours. As a thank-you, donors will receive a sweet treat from Mitri’s Delights and, for the first 100 donors, two free tickets to see “Newsies” at Trinity Theatre Company. Additionally, major league soccer team San Diego FC (SDFC) will provide coat donors with a gift from Eighteen Threads. And as a special Halloween treat, anyone who donates a coat on October 31st will receive a free goody bag filled with festive surprises as well. While visiting the center, families can also enjoy the newly relocated Mission Valley Pumpkin Station, a San Diego tradition since 1995, featuring a pumpkin patch, carnival rides, slides, jumpers and a petting zoo, as well as the center’s annual Trick-or-Treating event on Halloween from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit https://www.mission-valley.com/events.
