Jazz Jam Thursdays at The Dakota
In downtown San Antonio, a weeknight can become a session. Jazz Jam Thursdays at The Dakota East Side Ice House brings San Antonio players and listeners into the same room for an open night shaped by improvisation, neighborhood ease, and the live current of the East Side.
Guitarist Toro Flores hosts the weekly jam from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Musicians are invited to bring an instrument and sit in as the night opens up, and listeners can settle in for food, drinks, patio time, and a session that moves with whoever is in the room. All skill levels are welcome.
The Dakota East Side Ice House is a community gathering place less than five minutes from downtown, and its Thursday jazz night sits inside a larger East Side music tradition shaped by jazz, blues, gospel, Tejano, and the neighborhood rooms that keep live music close to the people who make it. Free admission. Bring your instrument.
