Hyatt Hill Country Tree Lighting Event and Holiday Extravaganza
The event will benefit the local Ferrari Kid charity organization which helps children battling cancer and other chronic illnesses enjoy a celebrity-like experience for a day.
Starting at 6 p.m., guests will be able to meet and take photos with actual reindeer, roast s’mores by the fire and partake in hot cocoa and cider, all while enjoying holiday music from a local choir.
At 7 p.m., Santa will make his big debut by driving up in a bright red Ferrari where he will greet guests and officially kick off the season at the resort by lighting the iconic giant live oak tree that welcomes guests as they enter the resort. The resort’s front drive, lobby Christmas trees and an additional live oak tree on Aunt Mary’s Porch will also be lit for guests to enjoy.
Once the trees have been lit, festivities will continue throughout the evening with local high school musical performances, s’mores by the fire, photo opportunities with Santa and Maple the Elf, and a holiday movie screening under the stars with cozy blankets provided. Additionally, guests can enjoy a seasonal, hand-crafted cocktails at the new Woodbine Bar located in the hotel’s lobby, a delicious prime rib dinner buffet at Springhouse Café, or stop by for some continued holiday fun at the resort’s festive Tinsel Tavern.
The First Annual Hyatt Hill Country Tree Lighting Event and Holiday Extravaganza is open to the local community for $25 per person, which includes access to the grounds and the tree lighting ceremony, s’mores and hot cocoa, meet and greet and photo opportunities with Santa and his reindeer, and the outdoor movie on the lawn.
Tickets can be purchased by visiting Christmas Lighting Celebration with Santa | Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa. This event is complimentary for guests staying overnight at the resort.
