Cortez, Emilio Nicolas Sr., and Martha Tijerina, visionaries who launched the nation’s first Spanish-language radio and TV stations and paved the way for generations of Latino journalists. This free event, part of Diez y Seis de Septiembre celebrations, includes a special exhibit running September 12 to October 10 at the Bexar Heritage Center.
