RED DAWN (1984) at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Stone Oak

IN OUR TIME, NO FOREIGN ARMY HAS EVER OCCUPIED AMERICAN SOIL. UNTIL NOW. "From whence shall we expect the approach of danger? Shall some transatlantic giant step the Earth and crush us at a blow? Never. All the armies of Europe and Asia could not by force take a drink from the Ohio River or set a track on the Blue Ridge in the trail of a thousand years." – Abraham Lincoln In the mid-1980s, America's triumphant years were finally up as the Commie Reds parachuted down onto our streets and playgrounds to mercilessly lock our fathers in concentration camps and gleefully shoot our schoolteachers in the face. Luckily, there was a band of high-school football-playing meatheads (C. Thomas Howell, Charlie Sheen, Patrick goddamn Swayze) ready to take to the hills and fight back against our new Soviet overlords. This is a film written and directed by the man who wrote the line, "I love the smell of napalm in the morning," and meant it. WOLVERINES!
