Acme Theatre presents "the k of d"

part urban legend, part dark comedy: in “the k of d” teenagers investigate their friend’s death while increasingly strange events occur in their ohio town. through the hi-jinx and and the eeriness, this psychological tale explores grief, revenge and the power of the stories we tell. ​this production includes some cursing and occasional casual cruelty, such as use of the words "retarded" and "cripple." Acme Theatre Company is the oldest continuous theatre company in Davis, CA. Acme is also youth-run: aside from the directors of the shows, all of the members and the production team leads are all high school students. We were founded in 1980 by Davis High School English teacher, Dave Burmester, and a group of about twenty teenaged leader forbearers. The company has been passed down through an apprenticeship system ever since.
