UNACCOMPANIED: Cello Concert with Leo Eguchi
Boston-based cellist Leo Eguchi presents “UNACCOMPANIED,” a performance project featuring short new works for solo cello and video presentation that explore personal stories of immigration and American identity. Each of the commissioned works is by immigrant, refugee, native, and first-generation American composers tasked with tackling the question,
“What does your American-ness sound like?”
The performances are intended to be accompanied by post-performance conversations to explore the impact of immigration and personal views of identity specific to each community and each listener.
