"Layered Processes" Exhibition Opening Reception
The work of over fifty New York State artists will be shown during this exhibition. These artists work in diverse layered techniques, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional. Processes used to create their works of art include glazing techniques, traditional oil painting with many layers, watercolor lifts, distressed work, mixed media, montage photography, sculpture, and more. Most of the artwork is for sale, with purchases directly benefitting the artists.
Main Street Arts is a nonprofit organization with a goal of promoting the work of artists with ties to our region, fostering art education and encouraging the creation of art, and developing community awareness of the arts. Gallery hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is FREE.
