This is a fun class that is at your own pace with no experience needed. The workshop aligns with our Main Gallery group exhibition theme, "Horse Power," which runs from June 6 to July 15 and features artwork by 57 talented, New York State artists. At the start of this workshop, our Gallery Curator will provide a brief overview of the exhibition, walk our class through the gallery, and offer a few key observational cues before we sit down to begin our drawing and painting session.
Topics covered will include how to see and draw proportions in different animals, layering pen & ink with watercolor, color mixing in watercolor, basic composition and concepts, extension exercises to try at home, and more!
This class is taught supportively and is a judgement-free zone. Exploration is encouraged. Attendees can complete one or more works, depending on their own pace and class goals. This is a nice way to spend a late afternoon with family & friends--or attend solo and meet new, creative people!
Fee is $30 and includes all materials.
