Community Potluck and Conservation Conversation Coming to the Little Finger Lakes Center
HEMLOCK, N.Y. — The Little Finger Lakes Center will host a free Community Potluck on Sunday, June 28, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at its center in Hemlock, welcoming residents, families, and visitors for an afternoon of food, fellowship, creativity, and learning.
The gathering is free and open to the public. While attendees are welcome to bring a dish to share, no contribution is required. Organizers emphasize that everyone is welcome at the table regardless of whether they bring food.
The event will feature an arts and crafts table for children, making it a family-friendly opportunity for community members of all ages to connect with neighbors and enjoy the beauty of the Hemlock area.
A highlight of the evening will be a presentation by Lindsay McMillan, Hemlock to High Tor Project Director with the Finger Lakes Land Trust. McMillan will discuss the Hemlock to High Tor conservation initiative and share insights into ongoing efforts to protect one of the Finger Lakes region's most significant landscapes.
"The potluck is an opportunity to bring people together around food, conversation, and a shared appreciation for this place we call home," organizers said. "We're excited to welcome Lindsay and provide community members with a chance to learn more about conservation efforts that will shape the future of our region."
The event reflects the Little Finger Lakes Center's commitment to fostering community connections, environmental stewardship, lifelong learning, and opportunities for meaningful engagement.
