Every Child Matters Healing Walk and Ceremony
A Healing Walk and Ceremony is being sponsored by the Indigenous Peoples’ Day Planning Committee. This event is an opportunity for us to honor and remember those children who didn’t make it home from boarding schools and to uplift and recognize those who did. We will gather near Lake Riley in Cobbs Hill and walk up to the White Pine Tree of Peace to offer time for healing and ceremony. Walking shoes are recommended.
We hope you will join members of the Indigenous Peoples’ Day Planning Committee over the next couple of weeks as we come together to heal and honor our community. Announcements for additional events, culminating with Indigenous Peoples’ Day on October 14, will be forthcoming.
