The Lenya Competition 2024
The Kurt Weill Foundation for Music has named the ten exceptional singing actors who will compete for a top prize of $25,000 in the final round of the 26th annual Lenya Competition, the internationally renowned theatrical singing contest. The finals are set to take place on Saturday, May 4 at 1:00 p.m. in Kilbourn Hall.
The final round will be judged by a panel of esteemed artists including world-renowned soprano and Assistant Professor of Voice at Eastman Nicole Cabell, Jeanine Tesori, and Tazewell Thompson.
An evening performance of Competition alumni prizewinners will take place at 8:00 p.m. in Kilbourn Hall on May 4, featuring Eastman alum Analisa Leaming ’07E, among others.
