The Human Rights Campaign WCNY Dinner is our annual fundraiser to support our civil rights work and our mission of equality for ALL. This year’s honoree, Dr. Bill Valenti, co-founder of Trillium Health, will be presented with the HRC Trailblazer Award.
All marginalized communities in NY State and around the country have been hit hard by the abrupt end to life-saving research grants and programs such as HIV education, testing, and prevention, as well as cuts to critical social programs like SNAP, Medicaid expansion, the Minority Business Development Agency, job training grants, and various housing, education, and community developoment grants. HRC's work includes fighting to reverse, or at least ease, these harmful restrictions.
The event kicks off with a Cocktail Reception at 5:30, followed by a Program that highlights HRC's work, then dinner, and ends with an award presentation to a local/WCNY hero. There is music and entertainment throughout the night. Dress code ranges from dressy casual to gowns & tuxedos - whatever guests are most comfortable in. Open to 16-18 year olds accompanied by a parent/guardian, 18-21 year olds who will not have access to the bar, and 21+ full access to the event. Need more details? Email us at: [email protected] with your questions!
Individual tickets can be found at: bit.ly/2026HRC-WCNYDinner with discounts available to first-time attendees, seniors 65+, young professionals 35 and under, and non-profits.
There are also still sponsorship, silent auction donation, and program book advertising opportunities available - contact us at [email protected]
HRC's VISION:
The Human Rights Campaign and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation exist to create a world where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) people in all of our intersecting identities realize systemic equality, equity and liberation in all aspects of life.
