Image City Photography Gallery proudly announces Camera Rochester’s 6th Annual Excellence Show, October 28 to November 23, 2025. The Opening Reception on November 7 invites the public to celebrate outstanding photography and the vibrant spirit of the local arts community. Founded in 1970, Camera Rochester has grown into a dynamic and supportive organization that inspires photographers to pursue their creative passions and strive for excellence. For more than five decades, it has welcomed photographers at every stage—from eager beginners to seasoned professionals—fostering creativity, experimentation, and friendship through regular meetings, image sharing, and open discussion. The twenty exhibitors of this year’s Excellence Show reflect the remarkable breadth of vision that defines Camera Rochester. Each photograph invites viewers into a unique world—some grounded in realism, others reaching toward abstraction or dreamlike imagination. From the tranquil grace of a sea turtle gliding through clear water to the quiet dignity of Rochester’s Eastman House in winter light, the serene path through Kyoto’s bamboo forest, or the dynamic energy of a musician mid-performance, these works explore both outer landscapes and inner experience.
