20th Annual Image City Holiday Show; Opening Reception Friday, 11/29/24 5:00-8:30

The 20th Annual Holiday Show at Image City Photography celebrates two decades of showcasing the work of local and regional photographers. This event highlights the growing talents of both amateur and professional photographers who have contributed over the years. The gallery’s feature walls display photographs by the nine Image City Gallery Partners, which include Dick Bennett, Marie Costanza, Nicholas Jospe, Steve Levinson, Gil Maker, Don Menges, Luann Pero, John Solberg, and Sheridan Vincent. Additionally thirteen guest photographers fill the remaining space with images that will bring joy and wonder. Guest photographers include Michael Tomb and Marcia Zach in the Neuberger Gallery with a series titled “Contemplations on Climate Futures” in three sections. Additional Guest Photographers include Nikki Bittner, Mary Clare, Bob Crumrine, Liesl Gaesser, Larry Mandelker, David Perlman, Owen Shapiro, Dick Thomas, and Michelle Turner, as well as a collaboration between professional photographers Steve Dent and Elena Dilai. Beginning with this show and continuing through 2025, Steve and Elena plan to create sets of images with each interpreting the same subject in their own style. For the first part of their project, they chose to present dancers through a blend of realistic portraits and abstract collages inspired by dancers’ forms that invite viewers to appreciate the power of dance, the beauty of the human form, and the interplay of abstract elements in each pair of images. (November 26 -December 22; closed Thanksgiving, otherwise open 7 days a week.)
