ELKS FREE HOOP SHOOT CONTEST FOR COMMUNITY KIDS
Rochester Elks Lodge local competition for the Annual Elks “Hoop Shoot”®, the national free throw shooting contest for youngsters ages 8 through 13. The Hoop Shoot allows every boy and girl between 8 and 13 the opportunity to participate in a fun, age-appropriate program that sets them up for future success. Each contestant has 25 shots at the hoop. The boy and girl in each age group with the best scores advance through four tiers of competition to qualify for the national finals at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois, in April 2024, along with their parents, as guests of the Elks. Names of the national winners will be inscribed on the Elks National “Hoop Shoot” plaque, on permanent display in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
