Off-Monroe Players Auditions for Winter Plays
Off-Monroe Players is excited to announce auditions for the 2026 Winter Plays, in which we showcase the many satirical plays written by W.S. Gilbert (i.e., without Sullivan). This winter our featured shows are Tom Cobb and The Gentleman in Black.
Cast for Tom Cobb is 9 characters, 5 male and 4 female
Cast for The Gentleman in Black is 11 characters, 6 male and 5 female
All roles are non-singing. The ages of the characters are not important. Character gender changes will be considered. Some roles may need to be combined, and/or there may be opportunities to be cast in both shows.
Auditions will take place:
Monday, November 24, 2025, 6:30-8:30, in Celebration Hall
Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 6:30-8:30, in the Shaw Room
Readings will be provided. More information is available from the Off-Monroe Players’ website at https://www.off-monroeplayers.org/shows/groups/2026-WINTER/
Rehearsals will be Mondays and Thursdays, 6:30-8:30, starting December 1, 2025.
Performance Dates:
Friday, January 30, 2026 at 7:30pm
Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 7:30pm
Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 2:00pm
All at Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 N. Fitzhugh St, 14614. Free, lighted parking is available directly across the street in the City Hall parking lot.
