A free-will offering at this concert will benefit the ROCMusic Collaborative: an "El Sistema” inspired program that provides free lessons, ensemble experience, instruments, and performance opportunities to youth who reside in the city of Rochester.
The PRISM concert will take place in the beautiful, historic DUPC sanctuary and will be packed with performances ranging from soloists to small ensembles, choruses, dance, and short theatre pieces. Curated by DUPC Music Director, Dr. Lee Wright, the program blends diverse artistic offerings into a memorable event for arts lovers of all kinds. This remarkable and lively performance in PRISM style features performances from different corners of the sanctuary, proceeding from one 5-minute offering to the next without applause until the end of the approximately 70-minute program. We are looking forward to presentations by Off Monroe Players, Rochester Gay Men’s Chorus, Rochester Women’s Community Chorus, Open Road Theater, the Spiritus Christi Mass Choir, the DUPC Chancel Choir and First Inversion, Pegasus Early Music, Hochstein Chamber Music, ROCMusic Studio Strings, Eastman organist Aaron Tan, The Mount Hope World Singers, Alan Jones, Lee Wright, and special guests Thomas Warfield and Kearstin Piper Brown.
