B-Sides of Broadway: A Cabaret of Cut Songs
In the DNA of every iconic musical are the b-sides that were cut from the show. Join up-and-coming baritenor Connor McGuire for the world premiere of this intimate cabaret of songs that never made it to Broadway...and the stories behind them. Experience delightful deep cuts by Stephen Sondheim, Alan Menken, Kander and Ebb, and others in modern (and gender-bent) interpretations! Fully accompanied by pianist Dane Noble-Rosema. Additional vocals by soprano Brittany Quinzi. Vocal direction by Deborah Conquest.
Debuting at the ESL Rochester Fringe Festival, B-Sides of Broadway will have two performances: Saturday, September 19 at 2:30pm and Wednesday, September 23 at 7:30 pm. The show will be held at an all-new Fringe venue, the 75-seat Hallock Lounge at the United Presbyterian Church. Free parking is available.
