Of the four men who ran that year, one was a former President, one a current President, and one a future President: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Woodrow Wilson. Add on to that list a popular Socialist leader- Eugene Debs. These four giants would run against each other to decide the future of this country. Little did they know that the winner would have to fight World War I during their term.
