The Oktoberfest for wine is back for year two.
Every November, France throws a party for its newest wine, Beaujolais Nouveau. The barrels roll into the villages and the whole town turns out. On Saturday, November 21, we’re bringing that tradition to the Finger Lakes.
What your tasting ticket includes
A tasting of all four of our Gamays in the Wine Den, 1 to 4pm
A 20 Deep logo glass to take home
$20 online, $25 at the door. 21+ with ID.
The four Gamays
Inside Out (‘26): Our Beaujolais Nouveau-style release. Bright, juicy and made to drink now. Start here if you think you don’t like red wine.
Encore (‘26): The sparkling sequel, with natural bubbles from finishing in the bottle. Start here if you came to celebrate.
Give It Time (‘25): Twelve months in French oak. Rounder and more layered. Start here if Pinot Noir is your usual.
Heartbeat Rosé (‘25): Gamay pressed straight to rosé. Dry, crisp and easy to carry around the market.
The new wine arrives by horse
At 1pm, a team of Percheron draft horses pulls barrels of new Gamay up the drive, led by a marching band. We saber the first bottle of Encore and the tasting opens. Be on the lawn for it.
Why Gamay?
Gamay is the grape we started 20 Deep for. We thought the Finger Lakes was missing it, so we shipped the vines in from California and planted them in Mendon in 2019. Our cool climate makes it bright and easy to drink. Gamay Days is how we celebrate it.
The rest of the day (free for everyone)
Holiday market, noon to 5pm: 20 local makers with Roc Only Events
Horse-drawn wagon rides, 1 to 3pm: $5 per person
Live music: Stephen Morrell, the Neil Van Dorn Trio and The Korks under a heated tent
Food trucks: Chef’s Catering, Eat Greek, and Cheese & Charcuterie
Fireworks over the vineyard at 8pm
Good to know
Entry is free, so bring friends who aren’t tasting. Kids are welcome, and dogs are welcome on the patio and lawn. Rain or shine, with a heated tent and fire pits. Tickets are limited, so buy online and save $5.
