First Annual Art & Music Celebration of Christ

The Yucaipa Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is excited to announce our first annual Easter celebration of Christ on Friday, April 7, from 4-8pm and Saturday, April 8, from 3-7pm. The purpose of this event is to celebrate Christ and to share our faith in Him through art and music. The theme for the event is in connection with John 1:39-41, which says, “He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.” Members of the community will provide artwork of all types of media to be displayed during the event for the community to enjoy. During the event, musical performances will be presented in 20 minutes sessions starting at the top of each hour. Musical performances will be a variety of instrumental, solo, praise band, and choral. Talented musicians and artists are invited to showcase at the celebration. Artwork can be original or purchased Christ-centered Easter art pieces. The deadline for musical performance submissions is March 26 and the deadline for art submissions is April 1. This celebration is open to everyone, and we invite you to join us as we come together to share our faith and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
