Join Wilton House Museum on April 20th for a talk from Marhsall Scheetz, one of the country’s few traditionally practicing coopers. As an expert on the 18th and 19th century coopering practices of freed and enslaved craftspeople, Scheetz will explain his own methods of barrel and bucket making from the lens of a 21st century master cooper. After the talk, enjoy a reception and live coopering demonstration, showcasing the tools and technology used to make beer barrels.
