Carole King helped shape American popular music for more than five decades - from defining 1960s teen culture to leading the ‘70s singer-songwriter movement - all while navigating fame and family life. After retreating to Idaho in 1977, she reemerged as a political activist and the inspiration for the Tony-winning “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.” In her book, “Carole King: She Made the Earth Move!,” Jane Eisner fully explores King’s life and legacy, enriched by interviews and historical context, alongside Susan Greenbaum’s powerful vocals. Book signing will follow the program.
