Hill of Heroes Flag Installation
On Friday, June 27, we are installing 12,000 flags on the hill, alongside the Shrine of Memory. The flags are part of our annual “Hill of Heroes” display and community event to honor and remember the nearly 12,000 Virginians killed in service to the country from World War II through the present day.
INSTALLATION:
We are calling for volunteers on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. to help plant these flags on the hillside.
Appropriate safety precautions will be in place, and all needed supplies will be provided by the Virginia War Memorial Foundation. Please wear appropriate footwear, sunscreen, and maybe gloves.
