Meet & Greet and Live Drawing Session with The Raptory

Jade Chen, owner/founder of The Raptory, a traveling wildlife education and falconry organization, will be bringing their lovely flying feathered companions Charizard (Eastern Screech Owl) and Poundcake (Peregrine Falcon hybrid) to the shop for a meet & greet, followed by a live drawing session with the birds! Tickets to each of these events will be sold SEPARATELY. Spots are limited and first come, first served! See below for specific information about each event:
Meet & Greet
12-2pm
All ages
The Meet & Greet program provides opportunities for one-on-one learning with the raptors with a larger audience. Guests will meet each bird in turn and learn about them, and about raptors and raptor conservation in general, from founder Jade Chen. Questions and photos encouraged!
Wildlife Drawing Session
2-6pm
Age 16+ only please
Perfect for creatives! Open to every level of artist! Attendees will have time to hone their observational skills and creativity by sketching, drawing, painting (or whatever your medium of choice happens to be!) the raptors in a variety of still and action poses in this unique instructional. Artist and founder Jade Chen will be standing by offering raptor facts and any artistic assistance, tips, and tricks for drawing a living, moving subject.
NOTE: Please bring your own drawing medium of choice—we are not able to provide art supplies for attendees. Seating will be provided.
