Nonprofit Board Governance Workshops - Considerations for Starting a Nonprofit
Leadership Metro Richmond presents Nonprofit Board Governance Workshops to connect and prepare future and current nonprofit board leaders, members, CEOs, and senior staff. These workshops are facilitated by seasoned governance experts, each with years of experience serving as successful nonprofit CEOs and nonprofit board chairs in the Richmond region. Their knowledge from both perspectives will empower attendees to navigate the complexities of nonprofit board governance through a dynamic learning experience.
Individuals are passionate and inspired to create change or make a difference in a cause or a community. To do so, often, the answer for many is to create a nonprofit to address the needs. But is starting a nonprofit organization the right move? And how is it done? Are there other potential paths to take to make the vision and desire to do good a reality? In this session, Dr. Shantell Chambliss will help you find the answers to these questions.
The workshop is on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at United Way, 7814 Carousel Ln #400, Richmond, VA 23294. Registration is required and is $95 per person. Light refreshments will be available.
