Once on This Island
The stage is set for The Lynn Theatre at Brightpoint Community College’s production of “Once on This Island.” The musical, from the Tony Award-winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, follows Ti Moune, a peasant girl, who rescues and falls in love with a wealthy boy, Daniel. When she pursues Daniel, Ti Moune faces great challenges posed by the gods who preside over the island and by a world of prejudices, but her capacity to love in the face of heartbreaking circumstances proves inspirational.
“Once on This Island” is recommended for audiences 12 and up.
General admissions tickets for all shows are $10. Tickets are free for current students with a Brightpoint student ID.
