Summer Series: Liberty or Death Reenactment
Every Sunday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Since 1976, St. John’s Church Foundation has presented historical reenactments of the Second Virginia Convention of March 1775 at its original location. Professional actors portray nine delegates — including Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington — who engage in the arguments of the Second Virginia Convention, leading to Patrick Henry’s immortal words "Give me liberty or give me death!"
12:00 PM Visitor Center Opens for walk-up Ticket Sales. Call 804.648.5015 to confirm availability.
1:00 PM Church doors open for seating
1:30 PM Reenactment begins
2:20 PM Meet and Greet with Delegates in the yard
3:00 PM Tour presentation inside the church. About 35 minutes.
