"Lectures on the Lawn": Archaeology at Rural Plains
The last two decades have seen far-ranging archeological investigations at Rural Plains, uncovering much that was hidden for decades or centuries. In her free talk on the lawn of the Shelton House at Rural Plains, National Park Service Ranger Lexie Lowe will discuss the archeological resources at the site; the innovative methods and technologies that archeologists have used to study the evidence of the human past; and what new information has been garnered from these investigations at Rural Plains. (Rain location: Enon United Methodist Church, 6156 Studley Road.)
