The Junior League of Richmond is celebrating Find the Good Day on Thursday, September 17, 2026, with a community-wide book scavenger hunt throughout the Richmond area. Books for children, young adults, and adults will be placed in locations throughout the community for people of all ages to discover.
Find a book, and it’s yours to keep! We encourage everyone who discovers a book to share their find on Instagram by tagging @jlrichmondva and using #FindTheGoodDay. Check the map to see where books have been placed and start your search!
Through this initiative, the Junior League of Richmond is promoting literacy, encouraging a love of reading, and creating opportunities for connection and joy throughout our community. The initiative reflects the League’s commitment to Women Building Better Communities and our focus on literacy as one of five priority areas.
Finding the Good Through Community Impact
International Find the Good Day is a celebration of service, leadership, and the positive impact created by Junior Leagues around the world. While Junior League Members work every day to strengthen their communities through volunteer service, advocacy, fundraising, education, and leadership development, Find the Good Day offers an opportunity to shine a spotlight on that work and inspire everyone to find ways to make a difference.
You do not have to be a Junior League Member to participate. Whether you find a book, volunteer, support a local organization, recognize someone making a difference, or simply perform an act of kindness, everyone can find the good and help create a stronger community.
