Singer-songwriters Sofía Campoamor and Katherine Paterson are excited to share the stage with Tiara & Andrew in Richmond as part of their East Coast tour! Come out for an evening of music, great food, and storytelling. Doors at 6:45, music at 7. Born in Washington, DC, Sofía Campoamor first started writing songs to make school projects more fun. This lighthearted approach to academics took her to Yale University, where she performed a cappella music around the world as the first woman member of the Whiffenpoofs. Now Brooklyn-based, Campoamor blends her love of intricate vocal harmony with dreamy acoustic soundscapes to tell tales of longing and friendship on her debut album, "if you knew, i couldn't tell." Katherine Paterson is an indie-folk singer/songwriter based in McKinney, TX. She writes music to keep you company. Paterson first began writing songs as gifts for far-flung companions. This evolved into a practice of using writing as a way to navigate life’s myriad moments–especially the more difficult ones. A homing beacon of sorts, Paterson’s debut album, Wake, invites you to come find her among past selves, loved ones, grief, dreams, and plants.
