Barrels & Bottles: Bourbon vs. Whiskey
Gather & Hem invites you to sip, swirl, and stir your way into summer with the launch of its Summer Cocktail Class Series, beginning with a special June session: “Barrels & Bottles: Bourbon vs. Whiskey.” Join us on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for an immersive, hands-on experience led by a Gather & Hem expert mixologist. This unique class is designed to deepen your appreciation for two of the most iconic spirits—bourbon and whiskey—through guided tastings, expert insight, and cocktail creation. Guests will start by sampling both bourbon and whiskey while learning the distinctions between the two, from flavor profiles to distillation processes. Then, enjoy a live demonstration of three creative bourbon- or whiskey-based cocktails, with the opportunity to taste each one. After sampling, you'll choose your favorite to enjoy as a full-size drink. Each attendee will also receive a printed recipe card with ingredients and instructions to recreate the cocktails at home—perfect for your next gathering or date night in. Tickets are $30 per person and include tastings, a full-size cocktail, and all materials. Space is limited to keep the experience personal and engaging, so early reservation is encouraged. After the class, we welcome you to linger and explore our new summer food menu, available for purchase and perfect for pairing with your freshly crafted cocktail.
