In this concert for four players, the ethereal music of Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks and rousing spirituals of Adolphus Hailstork sit side-by-side with the Dvořák’s beloved Piano Quartet in E-flat major. Also featured is the premiere of “Journey of Her Soul,” a new piece for piano quartet by Virginia-born composer Joe Jaxson, Composer-in-Residence for the Richmond Symphony and the Austin Brass Band.
