Thursday, October 17th. This extraordinary concert will feature two live salsa orchestras,

Las Guaracheras, an all-women salsa sextet from Cali, Colombia, was formed in 2017 with a
mission to amplify the female voice in Afro-Latin music. Through their music, they aim to create
a more inclusive and diverse cultural space while celebrating joy, memory, and transformation.
With their unique sound and commitment to empowering women, Las Guaracheras have
captivated audiences worldwide.
Bio Ritmo, a 10-piece salsa band from Richmond, VA, has been pioneering the salsa scene for
over 30 years. Known for blending traditional salsa dura with experimental elements, Bio Ritmo
has garnered international recognition. Formed in 1991, the band continues to innovate, with
their dynamic brass and percussion-driven sound paying homage to the salsa revival of the
1970s while maintaining an undeniable energy on the dance floor.
This special event promises to be a night filled with infectious rhythms, vibrant melodies, and a
